Palestine is currently in the research phase. Palestinian Monetary Authority governor Feras Milhem said that there was work being done to eventually use digital currency for domestic and international payments.
In June 2021, Palestinian Monetary Authority governor Feras Milhem said there were two studies on cryptocurrencies being conducted at the central bank. The ultimate goal was for a CBDC to eventually be launched for domestic and international payments.
